Jolene Engo

Previously the Director of DevOps and Security at Untapped. Now, Jolene is the Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Reddit, Inc. She has had well over a decade of professional experience in software architecture and development.

I think one important thing right off the bat is recruiters, if you do not have your pronouns listed in your signature, add them today. It doesn't matter whether you're trans or non-binary, you need to have them in there. I think that all companies across the board, everybody should list them. It makes everybody feel a lot more comfortable. There's never any guessing. I think it's very important for Cis people to really go to that extra length, to start introducing themselves with their pronouns, to telling people what their pronouns are. It shouldn't just be trans people that have to label themselves. It should be everybody.
